Ikebana Flower Arrangement Workshop

In this hands-on workshop held in our garden studio, you will learn the fundamental principles of Ikebana floral arrangement, including line, space, harmony and balance. You will have access to a selection of fresh flowers, kenzans (floral pin holders), and vases to create a composition that embodies natural beauty and simplicity. The class begins with a demonstration and explaination of the philosophy and guiding principles of Ikebana. Then each participate will select from a palette of fresh flowers to create their own arrangements from. Students are encouraged to try different forms and the instructor will come around to answer any questions and provide guidance. At the end of the class, we will take professional photos of 2-3 of your arrangements that we will send to you. If you wish, you can also purchase the vase at a special workshop discount.
