About this course
$25 deposit due upon booking. Full course fee: $395, the remaining $370 will be paid on the first day. The class will take place on Sunday afternoons. Exact hours may be adjusted based on sign-ups and will be confirmed at least 5 days before the start. Unlock the art of wheel throwing in this immersive 6-week pottery course, designed for beginners and intermediate students eager to refine their skills. Guided by expert instruction, you’ll learn the fundamentals of centering clay, pulling walls, shaping forms, and finishing techniques. Each class includes one hour of guided instruction followed by one hour of self-practice, allowing you to develop confidence and creativity at your own pace. Throughout the course, you’ll explore: Week 1: Introduction to the wheel – wedging, centering, and basic forms Week 2: Pulling walls and shaping cylinders Week 3: Introducing mugs and making handles Week 4: Trimming and surface decoration techniques Week 5: Refining shapes and introducing vases Week 6: Glazing fundamentals and creative finishes By the end of the course, you’ll have a collection of handmade pottery to take home and a solid foundation in wheel throwing. All materials, tools, and kiln firings are included. Join us for a hands-on journey into the world of ceramics and bring your creativity to life on the wheel! No prior experience necessary. Small class sizes ensure personalized guidance.

Cancellation Policy
You can cancel anytime up to 1 week before the course start date for a refund of your deposit minus $3 transaction fee. Note: If there are fewer than 3 sign-ups, the class will be canceled and you will be refunded the deposit. We will confirm 5 days before the course start-date whether the class will run or not. If you happen to miss a class during the 6-week course, you can make it up by joining the weekly adult pottery group class.
